The meaning behind the “RED Hot 100”
At first, I thought the exhibition “RED HOT 100” is nothing more than an art project about exhibiting the male model fashion shots by Thomas Nights.(It does provide me a lot of eye-candy indeed.)And the models he shot have one thing in common, Redhead. This aroused my curiosity. The more I dig into this exhibition the more superficial I feel for myself. Thus this project is some sort of same with the “Naked Issue” launched by Attitude Mag. The different thing between these two projects is the purpose hide behind them.  “Naked issue” is to remind us of HIV,

And “RED HOT 100” is to remind us of discrimination.

(I have to confess that the reason I bought “Naked issue ”is there are plenty of shirtless guys in this issue. I am so superficial, wait a minute, maybe super-ficial  is my superpower. However it can’t beat any monsters or aliens like Gozilla, even not a bad dog. )

Super Model, Star and Hero.
The ANTM is going to play its latest new season this summer, before playing, a contbestant has drew the world’s attention. “Zebra Model” , Chantelle Brown-Young, a girl with skin condition called  vitiligo is ready to rock to fashion world. (Look her pose, eyes, figure. She got all the condition to be a superpower. ) Who said that a girl with skin condition can’t be a super model.

“Beard Lady ” , Austrian bearded drag queen Conchita Wurst, skyrocketed Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Rise like a Phoenix ”. (She looked like a graceful phoenix.) She said that she hopes gay, lesbian, bi and transgender people around the world are getting stronger in their fight for human rights after her victory. Who said that a drag queen can’t be a superatsr.

Back to “RED HOT 100”. The creator, Thomas Nights, wants to rebrand the ginger male stereotype. “Why are there so few ginger heroes or heartthrobs in western culture?” he asked himself. (This is interesting , the only ginger superhero I can find is “Black Widow”) .

He started the project “RED HOT” and has raised over six thousand pounds for Anti- Bullying charities. In 2013, He organized the exhibition “RED HOT :London” and he took it to the next level as “RED HOT 100” exhibition in 2014. To wit, it consists 100 of all stripes red guys in shirtless, including model, athlete…etc.(thank to it, let me find the red model such as Jake Hold and Kenneth Bek. Lucky!)

Your flaw is the key makes you stand out in the crowd.

“RED HOT 100” is going to launch its first COFFEE TABLE ART BOOK in September, and need your back up at Kickstarter.(Seems like they hit the goal, Congratulations!) Anyway, I can’t wait to see it.

Who said the redhead can’t be a superhero. Let’s see who will be the first red one.
