[Cover] We exist and are unstoppable

We exist in million ways.

Out for “Stand Out”

“You are too good to be true.”

There is a line in “The Normal Heart”, Ned Weeks told Felix Turner (Matt Bomer) It doesn’t only express Bomer’s gorgeous looking but his personal life. Matt Bomer, star as Neal Caffrey in “White Collar”, a openly gay actor, an activist for marriage equality and AIDS, a father of three and has a sweet family. He lands on the cover of the “Out” June/July issue and talks about  how did  “The Normal Heart” impact his early life. (I know it isn’t the news, but I don’t have a superpower to fix the jet lag between east and west. Till now, I can get it in Taiwan.)

Is “The Normal Heart ”too adult for a teenage to read? The answer is no. It was Bomer’s wake-up call. He is only 14 then. “It wasn’t until I read Larry’s work that I had any kind of understanding as to what was really go on in the world.” He told to “Out” in the interview. It opened a window for Bomer to acting and finding who he is. After twenty years, 2009, when he knew the director, Ryan Murphy, wants to do adaption of largely autobiographical Tony Award-winning AIDS drama, “The Normal Heart,” he heard the siren. Bomer fought for the role “Felix Turner” and blew everyone away in the film. He even lost 40 pounds to cling to Felix who is dying of AIDS. (Emmy Wards is coming to find u, boy.)

“White Collar” will step to its end this fall, however, this is not Bomer’s end of the day. Moreover, it’s his new start. He has played as Caffrey for five years and be a commuter (His home is in Los Angeles and “White Collar” shoots in New York. You know how tired for people to be a week-plane-commuter, yet he enjoys it. It is what we called sweet burden.) Now he has more time to stay with his lovely family and u know what, he hopes to rejoin “Magic Mike” sequel.

Wow, how can we forget Bomer’s dancing in thong and his hot butt in “Magic Mike”. So, how about get dancing in birthday suit in sequel?

If you can't beat them, join them.
You may start wondering what is “The Normal Heart ” about? Let’s move forward to it.

It was originally staged on Broadway in 1985 and was on HBO in May, 2014. Based on the true story of Larry Kramer, lifelong gay activist, and his friend who founded the GMHS(Gay Men’s Health Crisis) . It took place from 1981 to 1984 when gay men in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles were dying of mysterious and rare diseases which is called AIDS and government didn’t pay pivotal attention on it to lead it to out of control.

It was more than just a play.

Despite how inexplicable editing Murphy did in the film and enlisted A-listers to star. (Mark Ruffalo, Julia Roberts, Matt Bomer, Jim Parsons and Taylor Kitsch and they are really absolutely stunning in it) This film brings a history to the new generation like us. To most about or beyond 30-year-old people, we don’t know what happened at or before our birth. This film let me shed on what’s going on that time and I appreciate it.

Enjoy the benefits of the hard work of our predecessor. Thanks for them, we can have the sex liberation. Thanks to them, we have cure to deal with AIDS. Thanks to them, made government face the music. It ‘s really hard to be a blaze trail during that conservative period. Now, we can fight the marriage equality under the umbrella they bulit.

The thing the more u want to ignore, the more attention u pay. U know what?

“We exist and are unstoppable”
