[Series] The Leftovers - Are u really OK ?

Are u really ok, or, do u fake u are?

HBO latest dark series, The Leftovers, really left us fragile belief while it ended its first season recently. Being a spoiler is not my thing, and the issue which the series wants to talk about is related to religion is not my thing, either.

I only want to write about the thing I want to deliver through this article, before hitting it, u know what, Justin Theroux is so damn hot in series! (I only have eyes for him and his back with mega-tattoos.)

I can describe that how hot is him beyond ur imagination if u want. Yet, let’s cut to the chase.

Who is the “Leftovers”? The people like us, or the people they have
gone?

Is white the new BLACK?
There is a mysterious group named as The Remnant in the series. I understand what they want and what they do.

They want to push or shove themselves to face the truth that their loved ones disappeared mysteriously. They erase every single sensation that can distract them from remembering the truth. Smoke 24/7, keep silent and communicate with paper and pen, don’t have feelings such as anger and happy, dress in all white (They believe color will blind them).

The most hatred thing is that they compel not only themselves to face the music but every people who live in town.

You can’t do that. As everyone has his way to choose which way he wants to live or move on.  If u disagree with the way they live, let it be, it’s their decision. Don’t install ur personal value into others. It’s like, u hate vegetables, yet ur parents force u to eat it as they say it is good for ur health. Come on. (I think The Remnant can make a new serious as “White Is The New Black”)

A Warrior or Nuts?
However, I admire the member of The Remnant’s bravery. They choose to let the heartbroken truth come straight to their face without dodging. While, living in the society where everyone to choose to escape from the truth, the group seems very weird. The other people live in town pretend they are fine with the tragedy, pretend they can coexist with it perfectly, pretend they are already moving on to the new life or pretend it never happens.

The fact is, the tragedy has twisted ur life but u still look another way.

What will u choose to be if u come up against such u-cannot-believe-your-eyes shock? Being a brave weirdie like The Remnant or a normal coward like everyone?

There is an episode I love the most. It ‘s about “Identification”.

If u lost ur name and anything which can identify u in a strange city, will u fell free or nervous? Are u happy with that u finally can lift all burdens which shackle u from being in ur own skin or anxious about who will take ur place?
