[Cover] Anderson Cooper - A Silver Fighter

The sexist silver fox, Anderson Cooper, nails the cover of Vogue Italia. (His hair really matches with winter.)

When I get the news that he appears on the fashion magazine cover, I desperatedly want to get it, yet, wait a minute, it’s Vogue Italia! I don’t understand any Italian except ciao (this world is so useless for helping me get the interview).

Thanks God, I find there is the English version of his interview on “Vogue.it” through the Google ( Google is sort of searching God).

Shy but brave anchor
“I’m painfully shy. I’m the person at the party who hides in the kitchen, holding a beer and leaning against the refrigerator while talking to one or two people max – that is, if I even decide to go to a party” He talks about his shyness in the interview. (if u want to meet some perfect guys in the party, u should go to find refrigerator first.)

I have to say, no matter how shy u are, Cooper, your glinting hair and good looking always can put u on the spotlight and this spotlight will follow u wherever u are even in the bathroom. Somehow, a boy with shyness is cute to somebody.

When it come to his profession and career, which he has been with 60 Minutes since 2006, and since 2003 he has anchored Anderson Cooper 360° on CNN. He turns out to be a brave journalist and this personality of hovering between fearless and vulnerable does make him as a lovely role model.

“Most of the times a journalist finds himself talking about something that has already happened, but I’ve had the privilege of reporting things that were still happening. I don’t focus on the ratings and the business side of news, I just care about being in the right place at the right time".

50 is at corner
However, a hero like him has a heartbroken story behind him. He reveals the story of his family and shows how strong connection between him and his family is even he lost his father and brother. Vogue Italia writes this, “His family could have been an impediment, but instead it seems to be the source of his inner strength, and has certainly made him what he is today, even from a professional perspective, as the best comment of the relationship of his family.

For Anderson Cooper, his father remains an important point of reference and moral guide. ”I always thought I’d die at 50, like my Dad, and that’s why I’ve always rushed everything. Now, with 50 right around the corner, you know what I think? I have to learn how to age" ( No worries, Cooper, no one can tell u that u are almost 50).

I notice there is a line in interview I think may rub against the Vogue editor, “Minimizing the number of decisions about clothes is liberating". (so u tell me that I should burn my wardrobe to liberate myself? I will give it a try in my next life )
