[Film] Llewyn Davis - Beard Peter Pan

As a folk singer, Llewyn  Davis, a talented man without question, with impressed voice but born in the totally wrong time.
As a man, Llewyn  Davis, a bastard, an asshole(he heard it million times in the movie), a raffish sucker(sleep with his best and only friend’s girl and other girls) , can’t take care of himself well(friend’s and stranger’s couches are his home, and haven’t changed cloth for a whole week. Didn’t anyone care about his smell?), inability to take responsibility(even lost his friend’s lovely cat), an as intransigent as rock man(can’t take the advice from the main stage manager and lose his only chance to get on huge stage). However, what goes around comes around, he got serious punch by stranger at the end of the movie.(That’s really nice punch!)Speak of arrogance, yes, he was as arrogant as the cat he lost. This cat played a main role in this film.

Represent Llewyn Davis’ inside.

Cat is the haughtiest and moodiest pet in the world. So is Llewyn Davis. Being Rude to his close friends’ dinner party just because she song the part of his ex-partner who jump from the bridge with him. The cat got hurt just after the stage manager told him that he didn’t see any money on him but offer an opportunity for him to be in the trio. U can see he was hurt deeply through his eyes (well done, Oscar Isaac). Obviously, the director, the Coen Brothers have the cat represent what Llewyn Davis’ inside has went through.(Check more plots about the connection between the cat and Lyewyn in the film by urself, dude.)

I have to say the opening song “Hang me , Oh Hang me” is so so so beautiful. All the film’s soundtrack was recorded live on set by the extraordinarily talented cast, isn’t it amazing? Sexy Justin Timberlake(played as Jim) also song a beautiful song with Carey Mulligan(plays as Jean, Jim’s girlfriend who slept with Lyewyn) in the film named “500 miles”. Check it as below.
