[Film] Inside Joe from "Nymphomaniac"- A Black Hole

There is a “black hole” or a “Maw” inside Joe (I mean on the mental side, not on the physical one) from the film “Nymphomaniac”.

Trio L (Lust, Love, Loneliness)
“Love is the just lust with jealously added” said Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg) when she was a young girl. A young girl has eyes only for sex and love is more than a shallow feeling to her. Until she met Jerôme (Shia LaBeouf), love changes her, but in the wrong way and fueled her into hell of sex. Sex free her physical yet imprison her mind at same time.She had an issue as same as Brandon from the movie “Shame”, that is they can’t have sex with loved one. Owing to love exists between them and their lover, and it is called “Make love” instead of “Have sex”.
 
Does sex deprive them of ability to love someone, or love disables them of having sex?
 
After that, love led them into the hell of sex and surrounded them with immense loneliness. Joe always told Jerôme to fill her hole completely, to be honest , this hole means her mental hole not physical one. No wonder that their marriage wasn’t blissful.

Dominatrix
U may ask why Joe loves sex so much which it doesn’t bring any happiness to her at all. I rather call Joe “dominatrix” than slut or bitch. This can make u figure out why she drown herself in sex deeply. She loves to conquer men. Not a man, is thousand of men. In our real society, men always in charge of motor business, from scooter to airplane, from repair-man to technician. However, Joe likes to challenge them. Like helping J to start his scooter, having better parking skill than J, and making car out of work deliberately to let men to help her. Relying on her subtle skills of dealing with different kinds of men, she became professional on debt collection. She advocates feminism loudly, but not in the public way, in the intimate way instead.
