[Male Model] Chris John Millington - A Mysterious Fuzzy Boy

Growing beard is not a big deal, but what can beard do for u? Disguise as Santa?
Hide some treasures inside? Or, keep ur jaw warm?

These are all right reason for growing beard. And there is one incredible thing that beard can do for u.

Being a model.

Like I said before, every model has his signature such as artful tattoo, grinning pecks or icerock-ish abs to make himself stand up in the crowd. So does beard!

Beard model is more popular in fashion industry than before, U can see this kind model throughout fashion editorials, brand campaigns and on-line shopping. (u won’t expect beard model have beautiful pecs and abs as those are not his things)

Scottish beard model, Chris John Millington, is on this wave.

Beard Wave
Growing beard and being a model are both accidents for him. He grew it for a bet after one of his mates, Stew Bryden(a photographer), off to New York for three months. They made a deal that they didn’t shave till he came back. It never occurred to him that the bet had changed Chris’ life completely.

He and his beard were scouted on the street in London and his first modeling was for Urban Outfitters! (So insane!)

Here goes to story. "Basically, I had been told to try out modelling and go see some agencies etc. I was quite sceptical about it all. I went down to London to see two agencies, both of which on that day, said I didn't fit their books. It wasn't until later on that same day I was scouted on the streets and asked to become a model! I signed the contract and just went for it, I quit my job, booked e-commerce for Urban Outfitters a couple of weeks later and it all started from there." He told to “menswearstyle.co.uk”.

This happened in 2013, to wit, his modeling career has started 1 year. Guess what did he do before modeling? "I was working for Vodafone! I managed a team of 20 people” He admitted that it was not an easy decision to drop a structured lifestyle and go head first into the unknown area.

However, break into unknown area is sort of destiny for him. Since he was obsessed another more mysterious area, Star.

His Fuzziness is Beyond ur Imagination
It will get as fuzzy as his beard if u try to get him. So take a deep breath and keep going on .

“From a very young age I have been a massive fan of Star Trek, I guess the mystery of "going where no man has gone before" always appealed to me, so many questions, so little answers. It's all extremely interesting, I love science.” He told  to “garconjon.com”. “My dream was to work for NASA”  he continued . (What! Can u imagine that he and his stylish beard in astronomical
outfit? )

But this NASA boy has an issue with number.

Have u heard about “
arithmomania”, this is a disorder that u are very sensitive to number and counting. Yep, this beard boy has it. “It affects me all day every day. At night I find it difficult to sleep because the condition itself is based around counting, my eyes count everything that they see. My mind just wanders all day thinking about everything, I wish it would just calm down for a day or two. Haha!” According to dry-magazine.com. (This really makes my jaw drop to the underground).

Guess who is his inspiration? The guy who was always in yellow outfit, yep, his inspiration is Bruce Lee (I totally lose my jaw now). Since Chris didn’t have an easy upbringing and the way Bruce Lee looked at the world and could comprehend things on a higher level fascinated him!

And u know what is a skateboard boy like him passionate for? Drink? Haning out all day without doing anything?

The answer is Writing.

“I’m massively passionate about writing, I’ve began to write poetry and other short pieces about how I feel. Writing helps me understand it a little better and it also helps others understand how it feels.” He said to
Garconjon.com.

What is on the horizon for this mysterious and fuzzy boy?

“I am in the process of creating my own clothing line. It is called Alaska. My brother and I have spent over a year researching, studying and preparing for this and now we are on the verge of beginning the company at the end of the year. We hope to be a mixture between North Face, Stone Island and AllSaints. Highest quality, minimal design, maximum functionality and versatility. Aside from that, I'm just going to continue on this journey and I will see where it takes me. It's exciting venturing into the unknown!

Who knows that beard can turn one’s life upside and down and bring fortune. He launched a beard oil called “Milly’s” which is developed by Sam Martin, the owner of Apothecary87. His amazing life is  a really big venture. To me, he achieves his childhood dream to get into unknown star somehow.

He is a star now (but not unknown).
